What is this about?
Welcome to Irelands first ever Pet Bereavement support group. This support group is lead by counsellor and psychotherapist Kevin Smith who works from a humanistic perspective with a person-centered ethos.
This group will be up to 10 participants and will consist of people who are struggling to come through the loss of their beloved pet.
The sessions, due to social distancing restrictions, will be online so all participants will need access to Zoom (links will be provided no more than 24 hours before the session).
There will be 10 sessions, starting at 7pm until 8.30pm on Thursday evenings, if you are interested you will need to commit to the ten sessions.
The cost for each of the sessions is €15 per week.
Each session will be anchored in person centered therapy and as a support group each member will be a great support to each other’s healing process, allowing the space to share grief, loss, guilt and shame, with an overall aim to help each other come to terms with their loss and move forward in life bringing the love of their pet with them.
We intend to run this group a few times a year.
